When Jennifer York (Watros) inherits her family's vacation home on the beach, she and her uptight hubby Colin (Gries) take protesting teen daughter Anna (Robertson) and young son Patrick (Dierks) there for the summer. The kids find a large, slobbery, injured stray dog and plead until reluctant Colin agrees to let them care for Frank with the proviso that he's put up for adoption before they go home. Right, like that's really going to happen.
